Our Journey To France!

While Jatiya and I were traviling in France we realized that every time we went to a different part of France we started to notice that some areas were cold and then some areas were extremly hot. We wanted to know the Geographic size of  France it is 212,935 square miles. We learned that some of their basic cooking methods like Flambeing, Sauteing, Poaching, Broiling & Grilling, Braising, and Baking, help's to give different flavors to each dish that they make. Some flavor's that they use or spices that they use are Sea salt, Black pepper, Thyme, Parsley, Rosemary, Tarragon, Onions, Celery, Carrots, & Garlic. They also drink wine, eat eggs, and they also eat loafs of bread with their meals. Their eating times are really different from ours, the breakfast in France is generally really small, not as big as ours. When they eat breakfast  hey normally have croissants & bread rolls and they normally put jam on it. Once they are done they have cream coffee with milky chocolate in it. We were not able to eat luch until midday because thats when they normally have their lucnh. And once 2.pm comes they close all of their restraunts until its time for them to get ready for dinner time. Dinner time is their favorite time, because they get to eat dinner with their friends and family, and while they are eating their dinner they watch tv and they eat six courses of dinner. Jatiya and I did some comparison between France and The United States. Our typical meals is very different from their typical meals. When you wake up you are suppose to have a big breakfast. The big breakfast that we have a is suppose to last all morning until it's time for lunch. When you eat your lunch your lunch should not be that big, but we normaly eat our lunch in the mid afternoon. But here is a difference between the french dinners and american dinners. The american dinner is when everyone gets together and helps the family cook the food, but when we finnish cooking the food, we all sit down with each other and we eat our dinner together telling each other about how are day was, and what we did.The common dishes that we share are fattened liver, pork, mutton, duck, and or goose. France has had a big impression on America with french desserts. One of their desserts that we enjoy is creme brulee, mousse, and crepes, these desserts have made an big impression on the untied states. One of their dishes that they make during christmas is Buche de Noel that dish is a Yule Log. But they make this dish during christmas and they friends and family would come over and eat it on christmas day. The french people provide over 45 pounds of cheese per person, this makes them the only country that consumes the most cheese. They also produce over 400 different kinds of cheeses.
